Rockville Chess Club's Tourneys are USCF-rated Chess tournament for chess enthusiasts of all ages and who are USCF members. To register, fill the linked Tournament registration form below. Players need to ensure USCF membership is current. For rating purposes, as USCF may take 24 hours to process newly paid memberships through the membership portal, please submit your USCF payments by Friday midnight before the tournament.

Venue:  *NEW LOCATION* Kensington Library, 4201 Knowles Ave, Kensington, MD, 20895 

Date and Time: Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10:15AM - 5:30PM. 

MANDATORY Check-in: 10:15-10:45 AM.  No check-in after 10:45am. No onsite registration.  You will not be paired if you check-in after 10:45AM.

Time control: Quads - 3 Rounds, G/55, d5; 1st Rd: 11:00AM; 2nd Rd: 1:30PM; 3rd Rd: 3:30PM

Swiss U900 - 5 Rounds, G/25, d5; 1st Rd: 11 AM; 2nd Rd: 12 PM; 3rd Rd: 1:30 PM; 4th Rd: 2:30 PM; 5th Rd: 3:30 PM

Prizes:  All junior players (6-14 yrs old) winning their quads or Swiss will win a trophy and the participants will receive a chess medal. No prizes for adults, but USCF rating points to gain.

Registration:  Pre-register for the tournament by filling out the form below. Only first 50 USCF-active pre-registrants are guaranteed playing spots. 

Entry Fee: $0 but requesting $10 donation to offset costs of room rental, USCF tournament submission & trophies/medals.  We accept donations via cash, Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, Apple Pay, and Zelle.
