Rockville Chess Club will be running a Blitz tournament on April 14 at 7pm at Rockville Science Center (36-C Maryland Avenue, Rockville MD 20850).  Check-in time at 6:30PM.  Time control is G 3/2, with 10-18 rounds depending on number of players showing up.  We ask for a $5 EF (preferably cash) to cover USCF rating submissions and room rental costs.

However, paid Rockville Chess Club members will have no EF for blitz tournaments.  Annual membership prices are $99 for youth/veterans/military/seniors, $149 for adults, and $179 for family.  Bi-annual membership prices are $55 for youth/veterans/military/seniors, $80 for adults, and $95 for families.  Members also get a free weekly beginner, intermediate, or advanced classes.  FM Luke Wong teaches the intermediate and advanced classes.  More details at: Rockville Chess Club

Paid garage parking is free for the first two hours.  Email rockvillechessclub@gmail.com to pre-register for the tournament.  Players need to ensure their USCF memberships are current before arrival.  You can renew your membership directly with USCF.  We will NOT pair players with inactive, no, or unpaid USCF memberships.  

We will provide sets and chess clocks.
