Note: The Metropolitan Open (3 days long) is for both adults and children, whereas The Metropolitan Open Scholastic Championship (1-day event) is only open to scholastic players
It is possible to play both events with a round-two bye in the 3-day main event
Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each section
Time control: Game in 30 minutes with a 5-second delay
Entry fee: $35 by 3/31, $40 by 4/21, $45 by 5/5, $50 on 5/6 (on-site registration closes 30 minutes before round 1)
Masks are optional
Boards and pieces will be provided for all players, but we don’t have enough clocks for everyone (those who have clocks are welcome to bring them)
This tournament is USCF-rated
