Venue. Gaithersburg Library, Medium Piano Room3, 18330 Montgomery Village Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20879. We have corrected the address, so please ensure you have the correct address. Also beware of speed and/or red light cameras.

Date and Time. Saturday, Aug 20, 2022, from 11AM-530PM. Registration: 1045-11AM. 1st Round: 11AM. 2nd Round: 130PM. 3rd Round: 330PM.

Time control/Format. 3 rounds, G/55 minutes, plus 5 seconds delay. Last section may be a Swiss hex with same time controls.

Entry Fee. $0, but requesting $10 donation to help offset room rental, USCF tournament submission costs, and trophies/medals.

USCF membership. Players need to ensure their memberships are current; you can renew your membership directly with USCF. We will not pair players with inactive or no USCF memberships. (An inactive membership or no membership causes delays to our result submission and lead to disappointed players as well.)

Prizes: No prizes. All junior players (6-14 years old) winning their quads will win a trophy (different from last Quads). All junior players (6-14 years old) will receive a chess medal (different from last Quads)..

Anybody pre-registering or on-site registering thereafter is not guaranteed a playing spot. Please email richard.ha7@gmail.com beforehand if you plan on registering on-site, which is NOT recommended.

Please bring your own chess sets, clocks, notation sheets, and pens. We will have extra notation sheets and pens on hand, as well as earplugs.
