2015 US Cadet Championship Starts July 25th

The MCA will again be hosting the US Cadet Championship this year. This is an invitational for the top under-16 players in the US. This year we will again have a field of 10 players. The tournament runs from July 25th to the 29th at the Rockville Hilton and the games will be broadcast live at http://uscadet.mdchess.com. The time control is 40/90, SD/30 + 30". The games for the first four days are at 11am and 6pm. The final round on Wednesday starts at 10am. The winner receives a scholarship to UMBC and the top three receive free entry to the Washington International. The full field is below.

The Maryland Chess Association with be hosting the 2013 US Cadet Championship from July 20-23 at the Rockville Hilton in Rockville, Maryland. The Cadet is an invitational tournament for the top US players under the age of 16. The top eight players will be playing a round robin tournament to determine the champion. The winner will receive a four-year scholarship to UMBC. In addition, the top three players will receive free entry into the Washington Internationl that starts on August 5th.

Only 105 ratings points separate the top from the bottom. So, all the games will be competitive. The games will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on July 20-22 and at 10 a.m. on July 23. The standings, pairings, and live games will be at http://uscadet.mdchess.com.
2016 US Cadet Championship July 23-27, Rockville

The tournament runs from July 23nd to the 27th at the Rockville Hilton. The live games, standings, and pairings will be at http://uscadet.mdchess.com. The time control is 40/90, SD/20 + 30". The games for the first four days are at 11am and 5:30pm. The final round on Wednesday starts at 10am. The winner receives a scholarship to UMBC and the top three receive free entry to the 5th Annual Washington International. This year's field is balanced and strong. There are only 160 rating points from the 1st to last seed and everyone is rated over 2300. The full field is below.
